That being said, however, March is but a week away, and that is the perfect time to start preparing for true spring.

You can already begin prepping all your tools and things for the coming spring months, to make sure you are ready to start the job of landscaping.

One very important thing is making sure your tools are in good shape. For instance, anything with a blade — shovels, hoes, lawnmower, et cetera — needs to be sharpened. Not only are dull tools pretty well worthless, but in some cases they can mess up your yard.

You can also begin testing your soil, so you will know what you need when you are ready to buy fertilizer and the like.

Face it, no one likes to clean. It is something that has to be done but it is not something that I think anyone actually likes to do. However – it something that needs to be done, especially when you are leaving your rental property to move into a new one.

If you are one of the many people that have left a security deposit, I think that you would want that back right? Well, leaving your home just as you found it – spic and span is a fantastic way to ensure that you will not only please your landlords, but you will also be able to get your money back!

Just a quick cleaning and then painting if you painted anything while you were in the apartment is something that should be done.

One of the first things that you need to do is make a list of how much money you make a month – do the lowest amount that you make and take away any overtime that you might be getting right now. You always want to make sure that you base your payments and budget by the lowest amount of money you make. Next, make a list of all of the bills that you have – this includes gas for your car and food for your fridge.

Once that is all done, figure out how much money you have left every single month that you think you may be able to afford in rent or a mortgage – that way, you can make sure that you get a home you can afford!

Well, you have to consider a few things and come up with that decision for yourself. What does the view contain? If you have a water view, or the view of a coveted skyline like New York City’s, then you can definitely expect the value you to be high.

You also want to consider the distance between the property and the view. So, ocean front properties, lake front properties, et cetera, will always be of a higher value as well.

The height of the property is an important consideration as well, and wide views are more valuable than narrow ones.

Coming up with a questionnaire for your prospects is something that you definitely need to do, that way you can really determine what type of business you prospects are looking for and you can decide if you want their business or not. The thing to keep in mind is that you do not have to accept every single piece of business that comes your way.

Prospects are not always going to turn out to be clients, but some of the time they will and that is something to keep in mind.

Most of the time, buyers that are actually looking for an older home want to connect with the past and if you know the history of the home itself, that might be able to help you sell it. So make sure that you do quite a bit of research on the home itself and its past, which way you can really blow any potential buyers out of the water!

As you can see, getting an older home off of the market is slightly difficult, but it is so worth it once you do it!

Firstly, you need to make sure that your name is out there. Posting ads on places like Craigslist and offering up your services is a fantastic way to ensure that your name is getting out there. Also, going door to door and offering up your services or even just making those social contacts is a great way to ensure that you are getting out there among the people.

Many people do not understand that real estate is actually mostly about your image and how you come off to people. Once you get that down pat, you will definitely gain a lot of clients!

What you might not know when you are trying to sell your house is that while you need to make the inside look incredible the outside needs to look good too. So many houses that have a fantastic interior do not sell because their curb appeal is just not good. If you are attempting to sell your house, this is absolutely something that you need to keep in mind and totally something that you need to make sure that you remedy.

Fixing up the outside of your home is going to be hard work. No one in the world likes to do yard work and while you might think that it is going to be just planting a few flowers here and there, you actually should really landscape the entire front and even the backyard to make sure that the house sells.

Adding in decorative things like candles and trees along with hanging plants and flowers is a fantastic way to bump up your curb appeal and really put your home over the top and over the competition!

Whenever you are renting your very first home, it is a heck of a lot different than buying it. There are other things that you need to think about versus mortgages and such. The first is going to be the contract that is drawn up for you to sign. This is absolutely something that you are going to want to read over before you sign. You never, ever want to sign something that you have not personally read, so make sure you read all of the fine print.

Next, inspect the property before you move in. Take pictures – that way, if the landlord turns on you, you can make sure that you have proof of anything. It happens! Do not think it won’t with you, because it most likely will, so make sure that you cover your butt!

Another thing is keep the house up. Even though you are renting if, make sure that you keep it looking nice and credible!

This can be brought by intermittent leaks that can cause lifetime havoc in your home. But there are some simple and cost worry-free fixes that you can do to get rid of these leaks.

First, the problem could be brought by these: an obstructed or missing gutter, or underground pipe that was broken or obstructed. Whatever the problem is, a handyman can solve these hassles for as little as $200.

Another is by covering the windows. If the leak is under your basement window that could mean the exterior dugout is directing rainwater inside. A clear plastic well cover (that can cost you from $35-$45) will help keep the water out.

Third is plugging holes and cracks. These can be observed if water is peeping between cracks or seams in concrete blocks or holes in pipes. Hydraulic cement that is worth $10 would cure this problem.

At times, water can seep through pores of a wall or door that leaves a white mark on its surface. This can be solved by waterproofing the exterior part of the foundation and painting Xypex on it that is worth $130.

If ever your home doesn’t have leaks, mold formation can happen due to high humidity. A dehumidifier (about $300) can save your home from these green cultures.

Lastly, if massive flood is entering your humble abode, you must call a waterproofing company (or get a free flood insurance quote in advance!).
